The Head of Projects will not only need to be an exceptional hands-on Project Manager, but also have outstanding management skills and lead an experienced Projects Team.The focus for this role will be the efficient management of personnel including being a point of escalation, helping to mitigate project risks, as well as actively managing your own project portfolio.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Work with internal stakeholders and external clients to define that concept and create a process to bring it to fruition. This includes setting and managing client expectations, developing a detailed project plan, defining the scope of the project and assigning team members to specific tasks.
- Manage the full spectrum of project execution in terms of project scope, cost, schedule, and quality from initial preparation stage until complete handover.
- Planning, cost control, work measurement and collection of performance data and other progress measurement data.
- Manages and tracks all changes, potential changes, ensuring estimated cost and schedule changes are given visibility to relevant parties.
- Provide regular reports inclusive of cost and schedule data to the top management.
- Works independently on complex project risk assessment issues, manage conflict, and provide resolution using a combination of technical skills, leadership, teamwork, and people management skills.
Requirements:
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Project Management, or equivalent.
- 10 years of experience in Project Management for Building Services or large-scale projects will be preferred.
- Equipped with management skill of managing Project Managers, Consultants and Engineers.
- Knowledge of contracts and contract administration including its assessment and implementation at each phase of the project.
- Demonstrated ability to work with project teams to influence and achieve desired results.
