The Social worker attends to individual cases when children come into foster care. They conduct interviews and assessments to report on the case, supporting clients via thorough case management and communication to relevant stakeholders, which allow client needs to be met. This role is for a committed individual who wants to make a difference in the lives of children and their families through communication and case management.
Job Scope:
· Handle casework and/or counseling
· Conduct office interviews and regular home visits
· Support clients through the full spectrum of case management, including regular follow-up and communication
· Build good rapport with relevant stakeholders and external agencies in order to mobilize resources to meet client’s needs
· Complete assessments and reports and any other administrative requirements related to case management
Requirements:
· Familiar with parenting/family issues and care of children with social issues
· Trauma-informed and knowledge of attachment issues will be an advantage
· Good report writing skills
· Bilingual, with good communication and interpersonal skills
· Able to plan your tasks and open to learning
· Responsible, resilient, self-motivated, and a team player
· Able to work on weekends and evenings, when required
Qualifications:
· Degree or graduate diploma in social work or equivalent with at least 2 years of relevant work experience
