- Effective communicator for Nursing & Senior Day Care standards, polices and procedures
- Flag, update and review policies and procedures.
- Build competency and capability
- Ensure all skill gaps are addressed (new and old staff)
- Identify and train key competency for Support Care Staff in Senior Care Centre
- Oversee standards and competency of Staff Nurses in Senior Care Centre
- Work with NM to do up training programme
- Work with AIC for relevant training
- Work with other training institution when needed
- Work with various department for orientation programme
- Coordinate with allied services for staff training needs
- Receive new staff (various grades) and conduct the orientation program
- Update and amend programme to meet current needed and relevance
- Advocate for best practices for the profession/ for resident wellbeing
- Be an advocate for the resident, nurses and care-staff.
- Ensure staff are clinically competent and safe for delivery of care
- Nurture nurses and care-staff clinical competencies development .
Requirements
- Post registration degree in Nursing and Advance Diploma in Gerontology or its equivalent
- A recognized Registered Nurse Certificate or equivalent as approved by Singapore Nursing Board
- At least six years’ experience in clinical setting and had coaching background.
