Duties and Responsibilities of General Manager :
- report to Project Director and Deputy Project Director
- responsible for the performance of all line managers in the company
- ensure the project is completed on time and within budget
- develop project plans, budgets and schedules
- assist PD and DPD to steer the project from start to completion
- implement safety protocols and ensure compliance by all to protect the employees and the public
- coordinate with architects, engineers, subcontractors and specialists to ensure project plans and designs are feasible and importantly within legal and regulatory standards
- lead, motivate and develop the construction and project team
- resolve disputes, issues or conflicts arising during construction process including issues with subcontractors, supplier and clients to maintain project momentum
- develop work-arounds for delays and other issues, hiring and training employees and subcontractors as well as ensuring that the project meets all the design, construction, testing and commissioning and safety codes.
Requirements :
- Must have more than 10 years of power plant construction work experience and have experience in managing similar power plant construction projects as a senior project manager.
- Familiar with the task requirements, process and technical specifications of gas power station project construction.
- Have an internationally recognized bachelor degree or above.
- Demonstrate interpersonal, management and communication skills;
- good construction organization, oral and written expression skills;
- Able to start work on short notice will be an advantage.
- Able to work at Jurong Island with transport provided at designated pick up point
Salary range : $6000 to $9000
