About the Role

The luxury retail environment in Southeast Asia has been rapidly evolving, reflecting the region's economic ascent and cultural vibrancy. Advancing on its strategic intent of achieving “Uncontested Brand Leadership through a Transformative and Inclusive Organisation”, Chanel Southeast Asia and Australia & New Zealand (SEAA) Region will focus on building and strengthening solid foundations and investing ahead of the curve to become the decisive brand leader in every market.

The President's Office aims to elevate strategic planning and governance, drive business development, build insight, foresight, and external partnerships, as well as orchestrate change management. The primary mission for the Process and Governance Lead, SEAA, is to support the SEAA President’s Office by leading the orchestration of the SEAA region's leadership team planning cycle and governance committee. The goal is to enhance fluidity, efficiency, and transparency throughout the cycle and governance process.

What impact you can create at Chanel

As part of the SEAA President’s Office, you will be supporting the SEAA leadership team members and collaborating closely with market, regional and global divisions/functions:

  • Organise, coordinate, facilitate, minute, and evolve the SEAA region leadership governance committee flow in different cadence.
  • Define agendas for the governance committee bodies (business and operation communities), working in collaboration with the governance connectors of the company.
  • Support and contribute to the operationalisation of the yearly planning cycles and its impact on the Leadership team’s governance flow.
  • Enhance leadership team and governance committees’ efficiency by ensuring that each key initiative has proper governance, with clear objectives, deadlines, and communication of expected outcomes.
  • Drive accountability through facilitation, follow-up and tracking of the progress of executive meetings. Maximise efficiency and effectiveness of the leadership team, implementing continuous improvement.
  • Assist the President’s Office in engaging the leadership community across regions and markets, funnelling appropriate topics to relevant stakeholders and decision-makers, and communicating decisions throughout the organisation.

What you will bring

  • Concrete experience with proven track record in supporting corporate governance/board meetings or a similar capacity.
  • Ability to work in an international and complex environment.
  • Exceptional planning, coordination, and problem-solving skills, including the use of relevant tools and communication channels to dissect problems.
  • A self-starter with the capability to work proactively and bring structure to ambiguous or uncertain environments.
  • Resourcefulness in navigating complex scenarios with the skill to access the right resources and information.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to articulate complex ideas in a simple, clear manner.
  • Proficiency in English (oral and written) is a must.
  • Ability to influence across the organisation at senior levels by acting as a proactive and trusted advisor in orchestrating topics of different nature and addressing issues as they arise.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a cross-functional team and interact with all levels within the organisation.
