JOB DESCRIPTION
1. Developing and implementing business strategies to drive growth and revenue
2. Building and maintaining relationships with clients, partners, and stakeholders
3. Conducting market research and analysing industry trends
4. Identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, such as contracts and partnerships
5. Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including Technical, operations and crewing
6. Developing and managing budgets and financial plans
7. Staying up-to-date with industry developments and regulations
8. Representing the company at industry events and conferences
9. Negotiating contracts and agreements
10. Identifying and mitigating risks
11. Developing and maintaining a strong network of industry contacts
12. Staying informed about changes in the market and industry
13. Identifying opportunities for innovation and growth
14. Leading and managing a team of business development professionals
15. Developing and implementing training programs to ensure staff are up-to-date with industry developments.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
1. Educational Qualification should be at least a Graduate or equivalent. Master’s Degree in Shipping would be preferred.
2. Must have at-least 10 Years of experience in Business development for Ship Management or Ship Building.
3. Hands-on experience in Sales of Marine Services or Products to existing and potential customers with Ship Owners, Ship Managers, Charterers or Maritime Organizations.
4. Understanding of Vessel’s Performance and Budgeting requirements. Overview of HSEQA and Management of accident Investigations would be an added advantage.
5. We value continuity and stability and, therefore, prefer candidates who have not changed companies in last five years.
