Singapore Fashion Council (SFC) – formerly known as Textile and Fashion Federation (Singapore) is the official association for the textile and fashion industry in Singapore. Embracing a transformative vision, SFC aspires to become a Vibrant Asian Hub for Responsible Fashion.

Career Opportunity:

The fashion sustainability programme was launched on 30 November 2021. As part of this programme, SFC implements initiatives to help enterprises in our sector to grow in sustainability business practices and in capability. This role will provide lots of exposure to work with enterprises and opportunities to learn about the fast developing space of sustainability.

We are looking for an energetic and dynamic person who is passionate about sustainability and enthusiastic to make an impact. You are likely to be a good connector and a good problem solver who can plan, collaborate and execute the necessary plans and programs. You thrive despite competing demands. You are hungry to learn and have a strong appetite to grow. And you enjoy working with people from different levels of the organisation.

The Executive, Sustainability will play a crucial role in supporting SFC's sustainability initiatives and engagement operations. This role involves identifying, conceptualising, planning, and executing campaigns and events to build dynamic communities and enhance user engagement. The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for sustainability, excellent project management skills, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure timely and effective delivery of project outcomes.
  • Track project progress and prepare reports for management and stakeholders.
  • Engage with fashion brands, suppliers, industry partners, and government agencies to promote sustainability initiatives.
  • Facilitate communication and collaboration between stakeholders to drive collective sustainability efforts.
  • Organise and support educational workshops, seminars, and events to raise awareness about sustainable fashion practices.
  • Develop content for SFC’s sustainability communications, including whitepapers, case studies, website updates etc.
  • Collaborate with Industry Development team and educational institutions to integrate sustainability into fashion curriculum and training programs.
  • Any other tasks as required by the line manager.

Pre-requisites:

  • 2-3 years of relevant working experience
  • Diploma or Degree in Fashion/Design related
  • Passionate about sustainability and making a real impact
  • Experience in fashion/textile/sustainability/consulting will be an added advantage
  • Proven track record in managing projects from conceptualisation to marketing to events management to project implementation
  • Comfortable in coordinating multiple projects at the same time
  • Proactive and take ownership of the projects, with an eye for details
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent team player
