Job Descriptions
- Monitor and ensure compliance with data protection laws and regulations.
- Conduct Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs) to evaluate risks and implement necessary safeguards.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for data subjects and regulatory authorities on data protection matters.
- Coordinate with the company's HQ legal and compliance team to manage data breaches and security incidents, including the preparation and timely submission of reports to the PDPC.
- Provide training and raise awareness about data protection best practices across the organization.
- Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive data protection policies and procedures.
- Oversee data processing activities to identify, assess, and mitigate data protection risks.
- Collaborate with IT and other departments to ensure a robust and secure overall security posture.
The Successful Applicant
- At least a bachelor's degree in law, information technology, or a similar profession; a certification in PDA, cybersecurity, CIPP/A, or CIPM is preferred.
- At least 4 years of professional expertise in privacy management and data protection compliance in Singapore.
- Mandarin language proficiency (to communicate with a coworker in HQ).
- Capable and willingness to move swiftly into a new industry and environment (such as new energy).
- Strong IT abilities and a solid understanding of the IT infrastructure of the organization.
