Crewing Executive (Dry Bulk/ Offshore Vessels)

We are looking for an experienced crewing executive for two of our shipping clients to handle crew operations and be responsible for all crewing requirements for their assigned fleet of vessels (Dry Bulk/ Offshore Vessels).


The ideal candidate would have at least 3 years of relevant crewing experience with ship manager/ owner and has excellent knowledge of the STCW certifications, Seafarer’s Employment, and the relevant maritime legislation and regulation. He/she would have proven track record of meeting crewing demands and possesses good communication skills.


Responsibilities:

  • Plan, administer and monitor Ship Staff rotation, pooling and team migration to achieve efficient manpower deployment and utilization.
  • Maintain an effective documentation system of all new hires and rejoinders, including qualification / certification, experience for reference, planning and audit purpose.
  • Attend to all ship staff queries related to human resource issues without delay
  • Ensure that vessels are meeting the MLC requirements and any compliance to be highlighted
  • Arranging for technical interviews and proposing promotions for graduated cadets
  • Cooredination of payroll
  • Conduct pre-embarkation briefings for cadets joining vessel.
  • Compile and analyze manpower’s statistics and competencies to meet current fleet staffing requirements and potential manpower needs as a result of fleet expansion
  • Assignment of ship-staff to be done basis compliance with stated company policies and procedures and with STCW requirements.
  • Formulate, implement and evaluate initiatives to continually recruit competent ship staff from various sources and recruitment channels
  • Review the recruitment flow and manning offices’ systems of operation for continual improvement to the process

Requirements:

  • Minimum Diploma in Maritime Studies or Human Resources or related.
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point).
  • Minimum 3 years of proven relevant working experience in cadet and crew management.
  • Working knowledge of crew accounting system & codes, budget and document control.
