Job Description:
- Responsible and accountable for ensuring accuracy of accounting records, management reporting and statutory reports for standalone entities
- Responsible for full set of accounts (AP, AR and GL)
- Closing the month end, including processing of month end journals and reconciling balance sheet accounts, including bank accounts
- Responsible for annual income tax and quarterly GST preparation and filing
- Preparation of entity forecast and annual budget
- Manage audit process, including the oversight of the accounts preparation and liaising with auditors
- Communicate with various stakeholders (i.e. Bankers and corporate secretary) for bank accounts opening, updating mandate and filling matters
- Process improvement and provide team members with assistance if required
- Assist in any ad-hoc Group finance requirements.
Requirements:
- Diploma in accountancy or equivalent
- Minimum 5 years of accounting experience
- Audit experience an added advantage
- Excellent time management to be able to meet tight deadlines
- Ability to work independently and within a team environment
- Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to use initiative, work without supervision and assume full responsibility for completion of tasks
- Proactive and willing to look for ways to improve processes and procedures
- Highly flexible and adaptable in a changing and demanding environment
