You will be responsible for ensuring successful end to end delivery of data science initiatives using statistical analyses, dashboards, and machine learning techniques. You will be supporting various departments hence the potential exposure including but not limited to mobile internet plan creation, fraud detection, churn analysis, marketing effectiveness, and sales trends.
Responsibilities:
- Liaise with stakeholders across various departments to gather requirements, manage expectations, provide project updates, and present findings in layman terms.
- Work on data collection, data preparation, data visualization, data analysis and developing solution using statistical analyses, predictive modelling, or machine learning techniques.
- Ensure that solutions provided are as automated and future proofed as possible to minimize maintenance efforts.
- Run experiments like A/B testing to ensure that the results of the solutions are as expected.
- Deploying the final solutions and monitoring for changes in performance.
- Automate reports generation via dashboards.
- Keep up to date with the latest analytics techniques and finding ways to implement these techniques in the day-to-day work.
- Provide support and guidance to each other in the team.
- Initiatives for full-scale automation in collaboration with data teams, enhancing data accuracy and operational efficiency
- Familiarity with code versioning tools like Git.
- Research on service providers or software companies like AWS and Databricks to evaluate procurement benefits to all data practitioners.
- Participate in the weekly scrum ceremonies to reach an understanding between all data practitioners regarding the purpose of tasks and updates of ongoing projects.
- You will be required to perform or undertake any other task as may be given from time to time by your immediate supervisor or by the Management.
Requirements:
- Minimum bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Computer Science, or related field; or equivalent professional qualification.
- Minimum 4 years of relevant working experience.
- Experience in Telecommunications, Marketing or Customer Experience (CX), would be added advantage
- Proficient with SQL, Python, PySpark queries
- Experience with Tableau (or equivalent platforms)
- Excellent written and verbal English.
- Advanced statistical and machine learning techniques (regression, random forest, clustering etc.)
- Proficiency on cloud services: AWS, Databricks (S3, EC2, Redshift etc.)
