Responsibilities;
- Leading a team of operators, technicians and supervisors.
- Liaise with Supervisors, Engineers, Planners and other respective Departments for production processes
- Oversee daily operation of respective production requirements such as line productivity, efficiency, quality, yield and machine utilization
- Participate in Production Process Planning and scheduled meetings
- Conduct Toolbox meetings to identify production requirements
- Ensure production schedules accord to that of the Planner
- Conduct on-the-job training for direct reports
- Prepare and submit required monthly reports
- Keep track of any rectifications or improvements required
- Change working methods or processes for productivity and quality improvement when necessary
- Liaise and work closely with customer to manage the corrective action and resolve quality issues promptly
- Initiate and lead internal team to ensure internal corrective action is closed effectively
- Build good rapport with customers through timely feedback on product quality performance as well as customers’ requirements such as assisting customer to perform evaluation
- Responsible for generating and implementing of all production related procedures such as Work Instructions, Standard Operating Procedure and Control Plans
- Develop and implement periodic equipment preventive maintenance programs
- Identify and recommend training programs for respective production personnel to enrich their capabilities and knowledge
- Maintain plant equipment such as Air Compressors, Vacuum pumps and Transformers
- Maintain a list of spare parts through timely reviewing to ensure minimum disruption to the production operation and establish contact with spare parts vendors
- Ensure production operation meets the Company’s quality policy and objectives and comply with customer requirement
- Initiate implement continuous improvement plan to attain cost reduction to meet Company’s goals
- Ensure compliance to company’s safety rules and policy and maintain 5S standard and good manufacturing housekeeping
- Any other tasks assigned by superior
- Take reasonable care of workplace health and safety; abide by all EHS policies and procedures; cooperate with Management and colleagues in EHS initiatives
Requirements:
- Diploma / Degree in Mechanical / Automation / Mechatronics Engineering or equivalent
- Working knowledge of PLC Programming, 8D Methodology and ISO9001
- Good interpersonal and communication skill
- Meticulous, Independent and possess good organizational & planning abilities
