Job Summary:The COO is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Food & Beverage (F&B) company, ensuring that all business operations are running smoothly, efficiently, and in alignment with the company's strategic objectives. This role involves managing operational departments, implementing operational strategies, and driving process improvements to enhance overall performance and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operational Management:Oversee the daily operations of all departments, including front-of-house and back-of-house activities.
Ensure that operational processes are efficient, effective, and aligned with the company’s strategic goals.
Develop and implement operational policies, procedures, and standards to ensure high performance.
- Strategic Execution:Collaborate with the CEO and executive team to develop and execute the company’s operational strategy.
Translate strategic objectives into actionable plans and ensure they are executed effectively.
Monitor and assess operational performance against goals and make adjustments as needed.
- Financial Oversight:Manage the operational budget, including monitoring expenditures and implementing cost-control measures.
Analyze financial performance and operational metrics to identify areas for improvement.
Ensure that operations are conducted within budget and financial targets are met.
- Team Leadership and Development:Lead and mentor senior managers and department heads to achieve operational excellence.
Foster a positive and productive work environment that promotes teamwork and professional growth.
Conduct performance evaluations, provide feedback, and support the development of leadership talent.
- Customer Experience:Ensure that all aspects of the operation meet or exceed customer expectations for quality and service.
Address and resolve customer issues and complaints in a timely and effective manner.
Implement strategies to enhance customer satisfaction and loyalty.
- Process Improvement:Identify opportunities for operational improvements and implement best practices to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
Utilize data and analytics to drive decision-making and optimize operational performance.
Lead initiatives to streamline processes, reduce waste, and improve overall productivity.
- Compliance and Safety:Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and regulatory requirements.
Implement and enforce policies and procedures related to food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety.
Conduct regular audits and inspections to maintain high standards of compliance and safety.
- Communication and Collaboration:Act as a liaison between operational teams and the executive leadership to ensure alignment and effective communication.
Collaborate with other executives and departments to achieve company-wide objectives.
Represent the company at industry events and build relationships with key stakeholders.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Hospitality Management, or a related field; MBA or equivalent advanced degree preferred.
- Proven experience as a COO or in a similar senior operational role within the F&B industry.
- Strong operational and financial management skills.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- In-depth knowledge of the F&B industry and best practices in operations management.
- Proficiency in relevant software and technology.
