Responsibilities
- Develop, execute, and maintain detailed test plans, test cases, and test scripts.
- Perform manual and automated testing to ensure the software functions as intended.
- Identify, document, and track software defects using issue tracking tools.
- Collaborate with the development team to resolve identified issues and improve software quality.
- Participate in the design and development of test automation frameworks and scripts.
- Conduct regression testing to ensure new features and bug fixes do not introduce new issues.
- Analyze and report on test results, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.
- Participate in code reviews and provide feedback from a QA perspective.
- Continuously improve QA processes and methodologies to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Stay current with industry trends and best practices in software testing and quality assurance.
- Any other ad-hoc duties as assigned by supervisor.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Software Quality Analyst or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
- Experience with both manual and automated testing.
- Familiarity with test automation tools (e.g., Selenium, JUnit, TestNG).
- Proficient in scripting languages (e.g., Python, JavaScript) for test automation.
- Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on delivering high-quality results.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with performance and/or security testing.
- Knowledge of continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
- Familiarity with Agile and Scrum methodologies.
- Certifications in software testing (e.g., ISTQB, CSTE).
