Position Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Finance Associate to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in managing financial operations, supporting the finance department, and ensuring accurate financial reporting. This position offers an excellent opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where you can grow and develop your financial expertise.
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Reporting: Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
- Budget Management: Support the budgeting process, including forecasting and variance analysis, to assist in financial planning and decision-making.
- Accounts Payable and Receivable: Manage accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring timely and accurate payment processing and invoice reconciliation.
- General Ledger Maintenance: Maintain the general ledger, including journal entries and account reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- GST Compliance: Manage and oversee GST calculations, filings, and payments, ensuring compliance with relevant tax laws and regulations.
- Financial Analysis: Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements.
- Audit Support: Assist in preparing for internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and support to ensure compliance with audit requirements.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with financial regulations and reporting requirements, staying updated on changes in financial laws and regulations.
- Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness within the finance department.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, business, or a related field.
- 1-3 years of experience in finance or accounting, preferably in a corporate environment.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial regulations.
- Proficiency in GST compliance and reporting.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial management software.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
