Job Description
- Monitor Contractors' safety performance and participate actively in site safety management in highlighting to the relevant parties on immediate actions to be taken
- Follow up on all safety matters related to Design for Safety (DfS), WSH etc
- Conduct safety inspections including taking photos of unsafe acts and conditions and bringing to main contractor's attention
- Issue and closely follow up on field observation notices including safety non-conformances notices and respond to site incident(s) in ensuring contractors' carry out emergency response as required
- Conduct roving safety inspections, emergency & incident response and facts finding
- Provide daily safety inspection report to OIC
- lead and conduct monthly safety inspection of the Site and submit the report to Superintending Officer
- Organize and participate in regular Safety Site Walk and Inspection with client and stakeholders
- Submit monthly reports on safety indicators & trending analysis on monthly safety performance
- Report any accident/incident/near miss on site to the OIC and provide all necessary detailed information
- Conduct Inspections for precast elements
- Assist client in hosting visits by authorities and to provide all material such as reports, analysis, presentations materials and coordination work with contractors.
Requirements
- Certificate in Workplace Safety and Health Management in Construction Industry Course (bizSAFE Level 2) or equivalent
- Registered as Workplace Safety and Health Officer with MOM and have been practicing as WSHO for at least 5 years
- Be conversant with Statutory codes and requirements for safety and health
- Min 10 years of WSH Experience in deep excavation works , preferably 5 years with developer/main contractor
- Min 3 Years of experience in managing a team of site safety personnel
- Possess a Degree in Engineering, Workplace safety & health disciplines or related qualifications
- Certificate in DfS appreciation Course
