Key Responsibilities:
EV System Diagnosis and Repair:
- Perform diagnostics and troubleshooting of electric vehicle systems, including high-voltage components, battery management systems, power electronics, and charging systems.
- Identify and rectify electrical and mechanical issues using specialized diagnostic tools and equipment.
- Conduct repairs on electric drive units, battery packs, inverters, and other EV-specific components.
Vehicle Maintenance and Service:
- Perform routine maintenance and servicing on electric and hybrid vehicles, including brake system inspections, fluid checks, tire rotations, and filter replacements.
- Conduct battery health assessments and maintenance procedures as per manufacturer guidelines.
- Ensure all maintenance work is carried out in accordance with EV service procedures.
High-Voltage System Handling:
- Safely handle high-voltage components and systems, following established safety protocols and procedures.
- Perform high-voltage system disconnections and reconnections for repairs and maintenance.
- Use proper personal protective equipment (PPE) and safety precautions when working with high-voltage systems.
Software Updates and Calibration:
- Perform software updates, recalibrations, and programming of EV systems using manufacturer-approved tools and software.
- Ensure all software updates are applied accurately and in compliance with specifications.
Documentation and Record Keeping:
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of repairs, diagnostics, parts used, and service performed.
- Generate comprehensive reports on vehicle condition, repairs, and recommended maintenance.
Training and Professional Development:
- Stay updated with the latest advancements in electric vehicle technology and attend relevant training programs to enhance skills.
- Participate in ongoing training provided by to stay current with EV system developments.
- Performs any other ad-hoc duties as assigned by the Supervisors.
Requirement:
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience. Demonstrate experiences working with electric and hybrid vehicles, is preferable.
- ITE NTC 3/2, Nitec or equivalent; formal technical trained in automotive technology or EV is preferred.
- Certification as an Electric Vehicle Technician or equivalent, such as Electric/Hybrid Vehicle certification.
- Strong understanding of electrical and electronic systems, high-voltage safety protocols, and vehicle networks.
- Proficienct in spoken & written English and Mandarin.
- Be resourceful and multi-tasking attitude.
