About the Job
- Analyse and assess tender documents, contracts and specifications regarding technologies, methods, processes, stakeholders and QHSE-S and perform initial opportunity and risk analyses, determine which parties and/or sub-contractors need to be involved.
- Translate specifications and/or client requirements to (parts of) a design/construction proposal/stakeholder management plan, propose method statements and/or carry out engineering and/or calculations, prepare the contractual qualifications and technical assumptions
- Coordinate with various teams, such as contractors and subcontractors, to ensure that the design is implemented accurately. To pay attention to detail, ensuring that design is executed according to the plan, construction methodologies and materials.
- Assist in decision making and resolve any design-related challenges that may arise.
- To ensure compliance to Statutory regulations of project’s country of origin. To ensure designs meet all legal requirements, building codes, and safety standards, and must stay updated with the latest regulations and work closely with regulatory bodies to obtain necessary approvals and permits.
- Responsible for managing the engineering & design process for the company
- Managing design schedule , external and internal design resource management, quality control, and compliance with regulations.
- Attend meetings with consultant and review their design to ensure the design adequacy to meet the relevant requirements and the project’s preference.
- Coordinate with construction team to make sure the feasibility and constructability of designed scheme.
- Work closely with Consultants and Client’s Technical Personnel. To actively lead and/or participate in design meetings, providing valuable insights and feedback.
- To ensure that the design aligns with project requirements, functionality, cost and safety considerations.
Requirements :
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Geotechical Engineering recognized by the PE Board.
- At least 15-years experience in design of civil and structures of large-scale Civil , infrastructure projects (S$100mil)
- Understand international and domestic standards for design work (e.g. British standard, Singapore standard and other offshore design standard etc)
