- We are seeking applications for a full-time Building Maintenance Specialist – HVAC. This position is responsible for maintaining existing plumbing, heating and cooling systems on the facilities and installing new systems according to state code. The position will report to the MEP Supervisor (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing).
Responsibilities:
- Create estimates for new installations of HVAC equipment and plumbing systems.
- Troubleshoot, repair, and upgrade HVAC and plumbing systems.
- Replace and maintain plumbing fixtures (sinks, toilets, etc.)
- Track the service and inspection dates for air handlers, air compressors,
- HVAC pumps, chillers, A/C units, water softeners, food service equipment, etc.
- Timely response to work orders.
- Track project time, effort, and expenses.
- Occasionally, respond to calls after hours and on weekends.
- Perform preventative maintenance on equipment and systems.
Requirements:
- 1 – 3 years of relevant work experience.
- Ability to follow written and oral instructions.
- Ability to operate required equipment.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook).
- Ability to work independently.
- Deal tactfully and work effectively with others.
