- Install, maintain, and repair solar photovoltaic (PV) systems, including the mounting of panels, wiring, and monitoring equipment.
- Design sustainable energy projects & determine the right technologies for a particular application to meet the requirement of clients. Sustainable energy projects such as PV & Electrical System
- Evaluate & propose alternative solution & system integration for the overall project plan
- Ensure system compliance with regulatory bodies & standards such as SCDF, BCA, EMA, etc
- Manage project scope, cost, schedule & quality of work from site preparation stage till project completion & handover to clients
- Work with agencies, clients & contractors on any technical issues
- Ensure work is carried out according to approved plans, quality standard procedure, safety requirements & in a timely manner
- Provide regular progress update reports
- Carry out troubleshooting, test, repair & installation works as & when required
- Planning, cost control, work measurement & collection of performance data
- Ad-hoc matters as assigned by the Project Manager which is necessary for the execution of the project
- Ensure project technical issues are monitored, resolved & escalated where appropriate
- Conduct on-site surveys to determine the best placement and layout of solar equipment.
- Troubleshoot system issues and provide technical support to clients and team members.
- Adhere to all safety policies and procedures while maintaining high quality standards and compliance with regulations.
- Prepare detailed reports on job status, issues encountered, and overall system performance.
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices in solar energy.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Solar Technician or similar role in the renewables sector.
- Familiarity with solar PV systems, electrical wiring, and system installations.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in challenging environments.
- Certification in Diploma Electrical or Solar Energy Technology from an accredited institution preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to travel and perform physical activities as needed.
