Job Responsibilities:
- Network Monitoring and Maintenance:Monitor network performance and reliability using network management tools.
Perform routine maintenance tasks to ensure network health.
Identify and troubleshoot network issues promptly. - Technical Support:Provide first-level support for network-related issues raised by end-users.
Respond to network alerts and incidents in a timely manner.
Escalate complex issues to higher-level engineers as needed. - Configuration and Deployment:Assist in the configuration and deployment of network devices (routers, switches, firewalls, etc.).
Implement network changes and updates under the guidance of senior engineers.
Document network configurations and changes accurately. - Service Ticket Management:Create and manage service tickets for network-related incidents and requests.
Track and update the status of service tickets until resolution. - Documentation and Reporting:Maintain detailed records of network incidents, changes, and troubleshooting steps.
- Security:Assist in implementing and maintaining network security measures.
Monitor for potential security breaches and escalate any concerns.
Requirements:
- At least 3 years of network engineering experience in a large-scale enterprise Wireless Network and MPLS network environment.
- Minimum certification of CCNA is required.
- Experience in service support, with on-call responsibilities.
- Technical skills:
- Firewalls – hands-on Fortigate, Palo Alto, Cisco experience.
- Switching – hands-on experience and concepts on VLANs, Spanning tree, VTP, Etherchannels, etc.
- Routing – hands-on experience and concepts on static routing, TCP/IP etc. BGP and OSPF are good to have.
- Wireless – Good working knowledge on Cisco Wireless solutions.
- Working knowledge of Proxy
IPS/IDS
Monitoring (Solarwinds, WUG etc)
Security best practices
Hardware replacement
Cabling
- Azure and/or AWS knowledge is a plus.
- Proven hands-on experience in network engineering.
