Job Purpose

The National University of Singapore invites applications for the position of Research Assistant in the Department of Computer Science, School of Computing (SoC). SoC is strongly committed to research excellence in all its dimensions: we are seeking a highly motivated Research Assistant/Engineer to join our research project on human-AI collaborative decision-making. The successful candidate will play a key role in developing and implementing innovative frameworks that enhance the synergy between human decision-makers and AI systems.


Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a mixed-initiative dynamic decision-making framework.
- Utilize probabilistic graphical models, machine learning algorithms, and decision theory to enhance the framework.
- Collaborate with team members to design, test, and refine AI-driven decision-making processes.
- Conduct experiments and analyze data to validate the effectiveness of the developed frameworks.
- Prepare technical reports and presentations to communicate findings and progress.


Job Description

Qualifications

  • Bachelor or Master's degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, or a related field.
  • Proficient in AI, machine learning, and data science principles and techniques.
  • Strong programming skills in languages such as Python, Java, or similar.
  • Experience with probabilistic graphical models and decision theory is a plus.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.
