· Bridge and Deck Operations:
Conduct daily bridge and deck watchkeeping.
Operate and maintain deck
department equipment and gears.
Prepare and execute docking plans as
required.
· Safety and Compliance:
Assist the Master in implementing
and monitoring the Safety
Management System (SMS).
Ensure adherence to health, safety,
and pollution prevention policies.
Maintain life-saving and firefighting
equipment to regulatory standards.
· Cargo Operations:
Planning cargo stowage, loading, and
discharge.
Supervise and oversee safe cargo
operations to maintain ship stability.
· Resource Management:
Monitor and control freshwater,
stores, spares, and other resources
onboard.
Supervise crew training, drills, and
evaluate deck crew performance.
· Administrative Duties:
Maintain accurate records including
logbooks, inventories, and
maintenance records.
Ensure compliance with all regulatory
requirements and company
procedures.
· Safety Officer Role:
Act as the Ship's Safety Officer,
responsible for onboard safety
awareness and practices.
Promote a safety culture and ensure
the well-being of all personnel
onboard.
Requirements
- COC Class II or I
- Minimum 3 years of experience on board
as Chief Officer on Oil / Chemical Tanker.
- Good leadership, teamwork,
management and communication skills
- Must be willing to follow Company
planned working schedule on board vessel
