Job Description
- Provide onsite assessment of a sick or injured child’s needs
- Provide responsible care for children
- Uphold all safety standards
- Relay information and communicate to management staff
- Communicate with families as needed
- Maintain records of child’s development
- Do dressings and administer medication as needed
- Ensure infection control measures are in place
- Be alert to childrens' general health status
- Provide training to the center’s staff about healthy child care
- Monitor facilities for health issues and cleanliness
- Assist generally in care of children in the centre
Requirements
- Qualified State Registered Nurse
- (Retired nurses with current SRN welcomed)
- Work experience with children preferred but not essential
- Physically fit and able to perform tasks such as sitting on the floor, bending and standing
- Willing to recieve on the job training
