Job Title: OUTSOURCED PROCUREMENT PLANNER
Job Summary: The OUTSOURCED PROCUREMENT PLANNER will be responsible for developing and managing an Outsourced Supplier Plan, ensuring that production demands, outsourced services capacity constraints, and inventory levels are balanced effectively. This role is crucial in maintaining our high standards of on-time delivery, production efficiency, and overall supply chain optimization.
Key Responsibilities:
Supplier Planning and Coordination:
• Develop and manage an Outsourced Supplier Plan based on service requests submitted by the Production Manager.
• Coordinate with outsourced suppliers to align production demands with capacity constraints and inventory levels.
Production and Capacity Analysis:
• Analyse production schedules, machine availability, and readiness to optimize supplier planning.
• Incorporate Supplier Services (Surface Treatment / Machining Service / Secondary Process Service), Outsourced Services capacity and schedule into the supplier plan to ensure efficient resource utilization.
Inventory Management:
• Monitor and manage inventory levels to ensure they are aligned with production needs and supplier capacities.
• Implement strategies to minimize excess inventory and reduce lead times.
Supplier Performance Monitoring:
• Evaluate supplier performance based on key metrics such as on-time delivery, quality, and capacity utilization.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure high performance and collaboration.
Cross-functional Collaboration:
• Collaborate with Production, Quality, and Logistics teams to ensure seamless integration of outsourced services into the production process.
• Communicate effectively with all stakeholders to keep them informed of supplier plans and any potential issues.
Continuous Improvement:
• Identify opportunities for process improvements in supplier planning and procurement.
• Implement best practices and innovative solutions to enhance supplier management and overall supply chain efficiency.
Request for Quotation:
• Identify supplier for RFQ support to Sales and Production.
• Analyse quotation and improve on costing comparison.
