Coordinator, Air Freight Pricing

POSITION SUMMARY

  • To implement the air pricing programs required by regional/overseas offices for Singapore.
  • Oversee Pricing desk, RFQs, Freightos and Gateway arrangement
  • Assist in freight planning, service improvements & strategy development with the objective to provide progressive leadership for the workgroup, exceed service commitments & customer satisfaction, generate revenues and achieve long-term profitability.
  • To increase new business gain ratio, to support existing customers and sales in both local & oversea through Spot Quotation, RFQ, bidding and pricing.
  • To manage, monitor, prepare and analyze air pricing to support the company growth.



PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIED

  • Ensure all customer agreements adhere to pricing policies and process; evaluate and recommend exceptions to pricing policies in order to minimize company's risk exposure and ensure compliance to pricing Policies and Process.
  • Work with the sales and trade lane group to develop pricing strategies for strategic trade lanes
  • Support sales with bids, quotes and follow up on proposals timely.
  • Maintain good relationship with the airlines and vendors.
  • Leverage airlines and vendors relationship to drive efficiency and service improvement.
  • Creating a tool to manage pricing well.
  • Update Freightos/Briefcase Pricing with latest costs and sell rates
  • Aligning with the regional pricing team to quote properly.
  • Communicating with oversea stations to support pricing.
  • To make competitive pricing proposal.
  • Sales call activities – customer, carrier and airline.
  • In-charge and monitor RFQ/Bidding status periodically and process.
  • Prepare key performance report and support management team to review with different parties.
  • Additional projects and duties as assigned.


JOB SPECIFICATIONS

  • Diploma or equivalent in Business, Quantitative Analysis, or related field.
  • 2 years’ experience in pricing, revenue management, sales, finance or marketing, preferably with freight forwarding industry knowledge.
  • Proficiency in Word, Excel, Access, and Powerpoint.
  • Good knowledge of analytical tools.
  • Good command of English and local language.
