The Plaster Technician provides patient related services and performs application of plaster casts to meet the needs of the patients in the clinics, operating theatres and wards. The duties include:
- Apply appropriate plaster cast as prescribed by the doctors
- Educate patients, parents or caregivers on the general care of a child with plaster cast
- Attend to enquiries from patients, parents and caregivers and provide customer service to meet their needs and expectations
- Attend in-service talks and lectures to keep abreast of current practices for self-development and to stay competent in the job
Job requirement
- GCE N / O / A level, NITEC, Higher NITEC or equivalent
