Our client, a Global MNC, has an opportunity for a Winner to join the Team as a Freight Forwarding Specialist.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as an on-site representative at client premises, supporting logistics and shipping functions.
- Plan and forecast shipments based on materials expediting reports.
- Coordinate cargo collection with client’s suppliers and identify suitable sailings for shipments.
- Liaise with overseas offices for freight rates, bookings, and shipment statuses.
- Source freight rates from carriers and manage bookings.
- Activate shipments, prepare relevant shipping documents, and assign UDRs.
- Prepare import and export permits for customs declarations.
- Monitor shipment statuses daily and provide regular updates to stakeholders.
- Attend client shipment status meetings and provide updates.
- Prepare quotations and invoices promptly for client billing.
- Coordinate with local and overseas offices for tender preparations and submissions.
- Prepare internal project costs, P&L per shipment, and monthly reports.
Key Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years experience in freight forwarding and/or experience in Oil & Gas
