A baker is a skilled professional who prepares and bakes a variety of food items such as bread, pastries, cakes, and cookies. The trainee use precise measurements and techniques to create baked goods, often working in bakeries, restaurants, or commercial kitchens. Bakers are responsible for ensuring the quality, taste, and presentation of their products, often starting their work early in the morning to provide fresh goods to customers.
Specific Responsibilities:
1. Accurately measure and mix ingredients following recipes to prepare doughs, batters, fillings, and icings.
2. Operate and monitor ovens and other baking equipment to bake breads, pastries, cakes, and other baked goods to perfection.
3. Inspect baked goods to ensure they meet quality standards, including texture, taste, and appearance.
4. Create customized mouthguards for patients, particularly athletes, to protect their teeth from injury. Monitor inventory levels of baking ingredients and supplies, and place orders as necessary to maintain adequate stock.
5. Maintain a clean and sanitary work environment, ensuring all equipment and surfaces are properly cleaned and sanitized.
6. Operate computer-aided design and computer-aided manufacturing (CAD/CAM) systems to design and produce precise dental restorations. Decorate cakes, cookies, and other baked goods using various techniques such as icing, glazing, and piping to create visually appealing products.
7. Develop and test new recipes or modify existing ones to create unique and innovative baked goods.
8.Manage baking schedules to ensure that products are baked and ready for sale at specific times, especially for high-demand periods.
9. Assist customers with their orders, provide information on products, and handle special requests or custom orders.
