We are seeking an individual with site Logistics and Construction experience for the position of Logistic Site Supervisor at Fortis Construction Pte. Ltd. Singapore operations. The candidate will work directly with the Logistic Construction Manager and the subcontractors throughout the six-year construction phase of the largest multistory data center in Asia (The Project).
Reporting to the Logistic Construction Manager, the candidate will be responsible for coordinating site related works in relation to logistics and planning for all subcontractors to performs their scope of work in the strictest of compliance to the contract documents. This role is focused on working in the field, coordinating all the subcontractors logistic planning and field installation details. The candidate should understand all aspects of construction in relation to executing work on site.
It is expected the candidate will be a very detailed individual with extensive previous experience working as Logistics Site Supervisor on data center projects or other complex technical projects. There will be a significant amount of “hands on” work coordinating in the field with contractors during the delivery and installation of all aspects of the project. The candidate must have excellent Emotional Quotient (EQ) skills and be able to relate to and communicate with the client, the Fortis Construction Pte. Ltd. team, subcontractors of all tiers, vendors and immediately establish trust and confidence in his/her ability.
Responsibilities:
- Develop a comprehensive understanding of the contract documents (drawings and specifications), phasing plans, logistics interrelationships, construction sequencing and project schedule
- Attend daily jobsite safety meetings and perform weekly project safety audits.
- Attend daily jobsite logistic meeting
- Work with the project safety team to ensure all works are being carried out to the highest levels of safety
- Coordinate with onsite Resident Technical Officers (RTOs) and Resident Engineers (REs) for all required inspections and work verification
- Develop short term look ahead schedules
- Work with Logistic Construction Manager and facilitate problem solving and logistics planning, as may arise, between Civil, Structural, Architectural, Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing subcontractors during construction.
- Work intensively with the Fortis Construction Pte. Ltd. Virtual Design & Construction (VDC) team to coordinate all field activities and trade coordination in the field
- Work closely with the Logistic Construction Manager to lead all logistics related works in the field
- Participate in the logistics/planning meetings and track all meeting minutes and logistics plans
- Interface with the Fortis Construction Pte. Ltd. Owner Furnished Equipment (OFE) manager for all client provided equipment and provide logistics plans for all equipment installation
- Ensure that Subcontractors adheres to relevant Quality documentation/records and logistic plans
- Must be able to liaise with Subcontractors regarding deliveries and logistic planning
- Must possess BCSS certificate.
- Site logistic experience in the construction industry.
- Experience building data centers or other technically intensive facilities.
- An ability to move fast and quickly make solid strategic and planning decisions on the go is critical for success.
- Computer literate. Significant experience with Excel, Word, and other computer-based tools.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Fluent in English.
