Bernhard Schulte (Singapore) Holdings Pte Ltd (the “Company”), is part of the Schulte Group (the “Group”), which is a worldwide, leading family owned, ship owning and ship management group. Globally the Group employs 25,000 seafarers from more than 30 different countries, 4,500 shore-based employees, owns 80+ vessels, 30 real estate properties, provides ship management services for about 700 vessels and owns various companies which provide maritime related services (like port agency, ship chandlery, sea logistics, underwater repair and maintenance, hull cleaning technology development, NDT inspections, ERP solutions, etc.).
We are looking for a Business Analyst. The analyst is to analyse different markets, financials and companies in view of various investment opportunities. The scope of work is focussed but not limited to the investment, financing of vessels and real estates, analysing the FX movements, interest rate movements, performance of the investments done by the Group in vessels and other maritime based services companies and real estates.
Responsibilities
- Develops financial models for asset investments and financing
- Performs valuation analysis, financial analysis using different methods e.g., NAV, multiples, DCF etc.
- Monitoring and analysing the movement of FX and interest rates.
- Involved in initiation, structuring and execution of M&A deals
- Coordinates and liaises with different teams
- Supports with other legal and investment matters
Requirements
Education Qualifications:
Relevant degree (accounting, economics, finance, or mathematics) from an accredited University or College University
Work Experience:
Minimum 1-3 years of work experience in finance, accounting and commercial team will be helpful.
Job Specific Skills:
- Basic knowledge of accounting and finance, well versed in financial modeling and calculations
- Fluency in English with excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent analytical, administrative, interpersonal, communication, problem-solving time & project management skills
- PC literate with effective knowledge of Microsoft Office and SharePoint products. Excellent knowledge of Microsoft excel
- Flexible, self-motivated, detail-oriented, and self-directed whilst equally able to work effectively as a team member.
- Stakeholder focused (internal and external); keen to learn and develop
