We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled data scientist to join our research team focused on precision medicine and individualising patient care. The role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to groundbreaking projects utilising radiomics to develop predictive models for patient outcomes. You will work collaboratively with a team of clinicians, research and bioinformaticians to unlock the potential of biomedical data and advance our understanding of head and neck cancers. Your data analysis and machine learning will be used to develop tools to improve patient prognosis and treatment strategies.

Job requirements:
- Bachelor Degree or Masters in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in data analysis and model development using R or python
- Experience with machine learning algorithms is highly desirable
- Data science skills applicable to work area
- Strong programming skills in R or Python
- Proficient in data wrangling, manipulation, and visualization
- Statistical and analytical skills
- Experience with data mining and feature engineering is a plus
- Experience with radiomics or image analysis is a strong advantage
- An analytical mindset with superb communication and problem-solving skills, ability to complex problems clearly and in nontechnical terms
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Keen to develop in a new research enterprise and be embedded within a multi-disciplinary team of clinicians and scientists
