We are looking for a talented and committed Senior HR Executive (Generalist) to lead the HR function in one of our Business Unit (BU). The incumbent is responsible for solving organizational challenges through people-related solutions and in this aspect, will require the selected candidate to be a thought leader on human capital and organizational topics.
Responsibilities:
- Partnering with business / functional stakeholders to identify and deliver HR solutions
- Create, align and implement the sustainable plan/policies/processes/programs/initiatives that drive achievement of business goals
- Establish clear understanding of the recruitment needs for the BU and to work closely with the Talent Acquistion team to recruit the appropriate talent on a timely basis
- Administer the Annual Performance Appraisal cycle
- Engage and provide sound advice to the employee on all HR-related matters which include grievances and union related matters
- Work with Union on employee matters as well as Collective Agreement and Annual Increment / Bonus negotiation
- Prepare and analyze management reports and statistics
- Work closely with HR shared service on the foreign workers’ work pass related matters, employment contracts and repatriation matters
- Work closely with L&D team on implementing training and development requirements for employees
- Work closely with payroll to ensure all salary matters are done timely and accurately
- Ensure conformance to all relevant statutory and employment law requirements.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Human Resource or related disciplines
- Minimum 4-5 years of experience in HR or HR Business Partnering
- Demonstrated expertise training managers and employees
- Strong organizational, critical thinking and communications skills
- Attention to detail and good judgement
- Candidates who have experience working with union are preferred
- Candidates who are IHRP certified are preferred
- Knowledge: Good understanding of Employment Act and Manpower Laws
- Problem-solving: You must be comfortable working with business leaders and managers to address any workforce challenges or issues.
- Intellectual curiosity and empathy: you must have a desire to learn all aspects of the business and understand its goals. In fact, you should view attainment of these goals as a critical measure of your performance.
- Systems: Familiar with SAP or payroll processing
- Change-management skills: You must have the ability to facilitate discussions around change and transformation when required.
- Can-Do Attitude: You are confident and willing to deal with problems or new tasks
- Industrial Relations: Ability to manage Industrial Relations, Union matters and Collective Agreements
