Responsibilities
- Drive and achieve category sales, gross profit, and income goals.
- Monitor market trends and develop strategies to grow market share and counter competition.
- Develop and implement inventory management processes to ensure an optimal product mix focused on customer needs.
- Achieve shrinkage reduction objectives.
- Create and execute promotional plans to generate excitement and increase sales in stores.
- Develop and implement placement and planogram strategies to improve category turnover and influence customer shopping behavior positively.
- Oversee the implementation of category strategies.
- Develop and manage private label or house brand products.
- Build strong relationships with business partners.
- Stay informed about consumer, market, and industry trends.
- Regularly review market and industry trends to drive merchandise mix appeal to target customers.
- Develop and implement a pricing strategy that delivers value to customers.
- Establish collaborative relationships with retailers and suppliers.
- Maximize income, terms, and discounts to improve sales and profitability.
- Develop weekly and monthly category analysis reports for assigned categories.
- Manage and evaluate promotion effectiveness to achieve maximum profitability for categories.
