Product Marketing Manager

The Product Marketing Manager is responsible for driving the successful launch, positioning, and continuous improvement of our educational products and services. This role involves collaborating with product development, centre operation, marketing and any channels and partners to ensure our products meet market needs and achieve business objectives.


Key Responsibilities:

  1. Market Research and Analysis:
    -
    Conduct comprehensive market research to understand customer needs, market trends, and the competitive landscape.
    - Develop detailed customer personas to inform product development and marketing strategies.
  2. Product Positioning and Messaging:
    -
    Define and articulate the unique value proposition (UVP) of our products.
    - Ensure consistent and compelling messaging across all marketing channels.
  3. Pricing Strategy:
    -
    Analyse market conditions and customer expectations to develop optimal pricing strategies.
    - Ensure our pricing models reflect the value of our offerings and remain competitive.
  4. Go-to-Market (GTM) Strategy:
    -
    Develop and execute comprehensive GTM plans for new product launches and updates.
    - Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful execution of launch strategies.
    - Implement effective product marketing tactics, including:
    - Highlighting benefits over features.
    - Positioning the product as a solution in content.
    - Using video to demonstrate the product.
    - Creating referral or affiliate programs.
    - Co-marketing with other brands.
    - Bidding on competitors' keywords with PPC ads.
    - Offering trials to encourage purchases.
    - Collaborating with creators/influencers.
    - Encouraging user-generated content on social media.
    - Showcasing social proof.
    - Creating a product deck or media/press kit.
    - Perfecting cross-sell and upsell strategies.
  5. Sales Enablement:
    -
    Create and deliver training programmes, sales tools, and materials to support the customer success team.
    - Ensure the sales team is equipped with the necessary knowledge and resources to effectively sell our products.
  6. Performance Monitoring and Optimisation:
    -
    Continuously monitor product performance through key performance indicators (KPIs) and market feedback.
    - Make data-driven adjustments to marketing strategies, positioning, and product features.
  7. Competitive Analysis:
    -
    Stay abreast of competitor activities and industry trends to maintain a competitive edge.
    - Provide insights and recommendations to enhance our product offerings and market approach.
  8. Collaboration and Cross-Functional Coordination:
    -
    Work closely with product development, centre operation, marketing and any channels and partners to ensure cohesive efforts toward product success.
    - Foster a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in product marketing, preferably in the education or technology sectors.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to conduct market research and analyse data.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Proven ability to develop and execute effective go-to-market strategies.
  • Experience in pricing strategy and competitive analysis.
  • Ability to create compelling product messaging and content.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in using marketing tools and platforms (e.g., CRM, marketing automation, analytics tools).
