The Account Executive is reporting to the Finance Manager and will contribute towards the establishment and development of the accounting platform for the Group. The Group Accountant will need to be adaptive at establishing and disseminating best practice accounting policies and procedures and contribute towards reviewing financial policies and procedures.
Main Responsibilities:
- Ensure monthly closing accuracy, reporting requirements and deadlines are met
- Prepare monthly management report, financial analysis and audit schedules
- Preparation/reconciliation of monthly products P&L for retail business
- Preparation of the Group consolidated financial statements
- Preparation and submission of tax matters including GST
- Verification / posting of trade invoices and preparation of related parties transaction schedules
- Assist in statistical submission
- Work with external auditors, resolving any accounting or tax related issues
- Perform other ad-hoc assignments as directed by the Finance Manager
Requirements:
- Degree in Accounting, Professional Degree, Post Graduate Diploma or equivalent
- At least 5 years of financial or accounting experience and demonstrated leadership skills
- F&B accounting experience will be an advantage
- Prior audit, retail experience and SFRS / IFRS knowledge is an advantage
- Experience in Consolidation and/or Management reporting will be highly favourable
- Ability to plan, organize a large volume of activity committed and capable of working under pressure to meet tight deadlines
- Intermediate to advanced computer software skills, including Excel and accounting systems
- Hands on, independent, self-motivated and committed with sense of urgency
- Ability to communicate effectively in both English and Mandarin (required for dealing with China counterparts frequently)
