Job Responsibilities:
- Monitor the performance and health of IT systems and networks.
- Conduct regular maintenance tasks, including updates, patches, and backups.
- Ensure all systems are up-to-date with the latest security patches and updates.
- Manage the installation, configuration, and maintenance of hardware and software.
- Ensure compatibility and interoperability of hardware and software systems.
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues.
- Monitor and manage network performance and connectivity.
- Implement and maintain network security measures, including firewalls and intrusion detection systems.
- Troubleshoot and resolve network issues to ensure reliable connectivity.
- Ensure the integrity, security, and availability of data.
- Manage data backups and recovery procedures.
- Provide technical support to users, resolving issues related to hardware, software, and network connectivity.
- Document and track support incidents using a ticketing system.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Advanced degrees or certifications in relevant areas can be an advantage.
- Proven experience in system management, IT support, or a similar role.
- Experience with system monitoring and management tools.
- Familiarity with various operating systems (e.g., Windows, Linux, UNIX) and networking protocols.
- Proficiency in hardware and software installation, configuration, and troubleshooting.
- Strong understanding of network management and security principles.
- Knowledge of data management and backup/recovery procedures.
- Familiarity with virtualization technologies and cloud services.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to translate complex technical concepts into understandable terms for non-technical users.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
