We are representing our client in the construction and engineering industry in hiring for Senior Sourcing and Vendor Management Specialist
Responsibilities
- Handle purchase requisitions, quotes, and order placements while tracking order status to guarantee timely delivery.
- Collaborate with project teams to synchronize procurement requirements and uphold internal policies and procedures for adherence.
- Evaluate and select potential vendors and suppliers for M&E equipment, including transformers, cables, switchgears, electrical panels, lighting, and circuit breakers.
- Inspect and assess the quality of purchased M&E equipment and address any issues or discrepancies quickly.
- Assess vendors capabilities, product quality, and pricing to make sound decisions, negotiate contracts for favourable terms, and build new vendor relationships while conducting comprehensive due diligence on key or preferred vendors.
- Collaborate with the Cost Management and Business Development teams to optimize costs while ensuring quality is not compromised.
- Maintain strong connections with current vendor and handle any problems related to deliveries, quality, or pricing.
- Additionally, seek cost-saving opportunities through bulk purchasing or by considering alternative vendors.
Requirement
- Min Diploma in Supply Chain or its equivalent.
- Procurement experience within M&E industry.
- Strong negotiation skills.
- Good knowledge with M&E equipment and industry standards
- Good communication skill to interact with people at all levels.
- Maintaining internal policies and procedures to ensure compliance.
