- Manages the purchase of supplies, materials and equipment.
- Provides professional development and leadership for staff on resources that help educators incorporate a variety of strategies to support programme goals
CONNECTING WITH FAMILIES
- Evaluates family programmes through constant feedback and evaluation.
- Communicates and models appropriate communication strategies with colleagues to use when dealing withdifferent types of families.
- Promotes and advocates for resources, programmes and collaborations that engage families and communities for the benefit of children’s development both in centre and at home.
- Provide leadership in creating safe, open and inclusive family and community environments and programmes that capitalise on children’s developments, abilities and strength.
- Communicate effectively to management and stakeholders.
- Make available a variety of systems or strategies to facilitate effective communication among staff.
CENTRE OPERATIONS
- Implement Child Care Act and Regulations, Licensing Instrument, Early Years Development Framework, Code of Ethics and any other initiatives that apply to improving programme and facilities.
- Establish and implement quality assurance processes for centre.

FINANCE
- Maintain and manage budget for materials and supplies in with policy and programme goals.
- Know the programme’s funding sources and requirements such as fees, subsidy.
- Engage in financial analysis such as forecasting, budgeting, engaging in cost reduction analysis, and reviewing operational performance.
HEALTH AND SAFETY
- Cooking area/kitchen is inaccessible to children at all times.
- Safety gates keys are easily accessible.
- A written plan for fire evacuation including a sketch map is displayed in a prominent place.
- Staffs are trained and familiar with the evacuation/ emergency procedures.
- Food is prepared are served in a hygienic manner.
- A wide variety of nutritionally balanced food that caters to the various age groups is provided.
- Centre has a separate and fully enclosed area for sick children to rest and children are closely monitored.
- Prompt action is taken during outbreak of infectious diseases.
- Fire extinguishers are positioned at an acceptable level approved by the Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF).
- Fire extinguisher are serviced regularly and certified effective. The labels are legible.
- Meals served correspond to written menu. Deviations in menu are duly recorded.
- Fire drills are conducted at least once every 6 months.
- Fire drills records are maintained.

HUMAN RESOURCE MANAGEMENT
- Inform and share with staff and colleagues, professional development activities, and includes career-ladder guidance when helping staff and colleagues establish their individual goals.
- Maintain confidential personnel files.
- Monitor the overall morale and job satisfaction of staff.
- Identifies and acknowledge the strengths and contributions of individual team members.
- Plan for staff recruitment, selection and retention.
- Identify and establish a monitoring system for personnel procedures to ensure consistency with regular requirements.
- Assess and document the performance of staff based on clearly defined job descriptions, expectations and ongoing direct observations.
- Conducts and contribute to formal performance reviews.
- Maintains confidentiality and privacy in supervision and evaluation of staff.
- Design and implement staff professional development plans.
- Provide opportunities for advancement of staff

Job Requirements
- Diploma in Early Childhood Education-Teaching & Leadership is a must
- Degree in Early Childhood Education will be advantageous
- Minimum of 3 years of teaching and management experience in a childcare/preschool
- Creative and inspiring with loving energy
- Excellent communication and classroom management skills
