JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
As Vice President (Business Development), you will act as the Deputy to the Head of Trade Development Team, working closely with the management to develop and implement strategic business initiatives. The primary responsibilities will include:
Office Development
- Identify potential candidates, including existing agents, to be developed into company offices.
- Explore options such as acquisitions, setting up subsidiary offices, or forming joint ventures, in consultation with management.
- Assist in the management and supervision of the group network of offices' performance.
- Build domain knowledge expertise in regional development and keep abreast of market conditions, competitive landscape, and business outlook.
Agency Growth
- Identify potential agency candidates.
- Develop identified candidates into agents in consultation with management.
- Assist in agency network collaboration and fostering partnerships to expand global representation and footprint.
Business Initiatives Development
- Analyze network interactions, perform data analytics and business analysis.
- Determine and implement strategic steps to enhance and grow network relationships.
- Develop initiatives to increase volume and create mutually beneficial synergies among network parties.
- Strengthen network cohesiveness.
- Monitor existing and develop new trade lanes.
New Service Products Development
- Develop new service products considering market constraints and opportunities.
- Identify new business and product development potential, such as FCL.
- Support the group’s strategic development through the management of special projects.
Other Key Responsibilities
- Be part of the Global HQ Team to drive the core LCL cargo consolidation business with a strong international worldwide presence.
- Coordinate initiative implementation with Global Accounts development.
- Collect and collate data and manage market sensors and feedback.
- Analyze and report on business development strategies.
JOB REQUIREMENT
- Possess a Degree/Diploma from a recognized tertiary institution.
- Relevant working experience in NVOCC, freight forwarding, logistics, supply chain, or shipping industry.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Good writing and communication skills.
- Proficient in English and Business Chinese, both written and oral as the job requires dealings with overseas Chinese speaking Business Associates
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and time management skills.
- Ability to engage with various internal and external stakeholders.
- Able to travel for overseas business
