Title: IRONMAN Asia – Manpower Management Assistant
This is a contract position.
Reporting Structure
1. You will report to the Manpower Manager, Operations – IRONMAN Asia
2. You will be working within the IRONMAN Asia team based in Singapore
3. You will be working alongside and supported by the IRONMAN Asia operational, marketing, and commercial team
Base of Operation: Located at the IRONMAN Asia office in Singapore however may be required to work from different locations as required.
Scope of Assignment
IRONMAN Asia owns, licences, and develops mass participation sporting events throughout the Asia region.
The Manpower Management Assistant will assist the Manpower team in the management of all aspects of manpower (volunteer & part-time crew) management for the Standard Chartered Singapore Marathon 2024.
The scope also includes:
• Development and implementation of recruitment plan
• Plan and manage training and briefing for volunteers
• Preparing of training and briefing materials
• Development and implementation of operations plans such as transportation, deployment, meals & welfare, logistics requirement, reporting and stand-down process
• Preparing all administration documents
• Planning and managing associated logistics
• Development and implementation of communication and information plan
• Managing the volunteer hotline and email enquiries
• Making recommendations on suppliers
• Development and training of event volunteers
• Proper and accurate administration/paperwork to ensure an effective and efficient event delivery
In addition to this, the Manpower Management Assistant will:
• Be prepared to work extended hours for the deliverables leading to events
• Be prepared to travel and work on some weekends to deliver events
• Support in other ad-hoc duties assigned by Manpower Management Team
Skills & Experience Required
• Certificate/Diploma in Event Management/Human Resource/Community Development or similar area of study
• Efficient in Microsoft Office and Excel
• Proven ability to multi-task, work under pressure and within required deadlines
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Excellent organisational skills, time management and attention to detail
• Self-motivated and independent
• Adaptable to changing and fast paced work conditions
