The Lung Cancer Consortium Singapore (LCCS) is looking for a dedicated Research Coordinator (RC) or an associate RC to join the team of coordinators to assist investigators in lung cancer research program.
You will work closely with clinicians, nurses, allied health professionals as well as laboratory staff/scientists during your employment. You are to assist with research subject recruitment, bio-specimen collection, clinical data collection as well as questionnaire administration. The laboratory duties include blood sample processing, assisting pathologist in tissue sample harvesting and DNA/RNA extraction.
In addition, you are encouraged to assist in the Lung Cancer Education and Advocacy for Patients (LEAP) programme, which is an initiative of LCCS to educate, empower and support our patients in their care journey. Other duties may include assisting with physician educational events.
Responsibilities:
- Active involvement in patient recruitment and obtaining informed consent
- Administration of questionnaires
- Collection of clinical data, keep records of documentations, data entry and management of database
- Collection and processing of biological specimens
- Sample inventories management
- Sample retrieval and shipment coordination
- Project updates at team meetings and minutes taking
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- Diploma or Degree in Nursing, Health Sciences or relevant fields
- Ability to perform phlebotomy (added value)
- Keen interest in interacting with cancer patients/caregivers
- Able to work independently and willing to be a committed team player
- Meticulous with good organizational and time management skills
- Good interpersonal and communication skills
- Strong interest in clinical and translational research and motivated to learn
- Good computer literacy
