Main Purpose of Job:
- The Regional Sales & Marketing Specialist will be primarily responsible for all Agriculture Sales and Marketing projects and activities in Yanmar International Singapore Pte Ltd (YIS).
Responsibilities:
- Assist with the preparation of business proposals and recommendations to senior management.
- Negotiate letters of intent, memoranda of understanding, contracts and acquisition agreements.
- Research on market trends and forecasts in order to plan sales and marketing policies and to make strategic plans to develop the regional markets.
- Support sales seminars or any other sales or after-sales related activities or events including sales campaigns, promotions and programs for distributors and end-users.
- Evaluate findings and prepare reports to senior management teams and sales and marketing teams of designated overseas companies on the following:
- Sales and marketing plans and projects.
- Advice to support them in their decision-making processes regarding sales and marketing matters.
- Facilitate information sharing between Yanmar Group companies in the region and Japan headquarters, and with other appropriate divisions/departments.
- Liaise with other project managers to ensure sales and marketing activities are carried out in alignment with the overall corporate objectives.
- Manage ongoing relationships with external vendors, research agencies and consultants to ensure the Company receives satisfactory standards of service.
- Visit, plan and provide support to dealer partners, trade shows and special events.
- Be responsible for quarterly and annual sales forecasts and reports for designated projects.
- Keep track of dealers’ and distributor’s sales performances to ensure expected sales budgets are met.
- Prepare quotations for customers and dealers/distributors.
- Monitor and closely follow up on the development of sales activities of distributors.
- Provide support to distributors in the undertaking of projects, including technical support and provide updated information to relevant department managers.

- Develop and maintain good relationships with employees at all levels within the company and also with external parties (e.g. partners, clients, vendors etc.).
- Ability to strategically analyze the current position or situation by considering internal and external trends, stakeholder requirements, and competitors.
- Detailed, well-organized and able to multi-task and manage multiple projects at the same time, prioritizing required actions accordingly to meet required deadlines.
- Strong drive to remain focused, self-motivated and committed to completing or achieving tasks.

- Must be able to travel overseas if required.
Knowledge and Experience Required:
- Minimum Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business management or a related field.
- Minimum 7 years’ experience in sales and marketing functions, especially in industrial sales and project management.
- Excellent skills in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word and PowerPoint).
- Prior experience in Agricultural Manufacturing or Machinery Industry will be an added advantage.
- Prior experience in working in a multi-cultural environment is an added advantage.
