Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Java Developer to join our team in a critical role involving application support, coding, configuration, and testing. The ideal candidate will have more than 5-8 years of hands-on experience in Java development, strong skills in ETL/SQL, and a solid background in finance, risk, and regulatory reporting solutions. Experience with the Wolters Kluwer OneSumX platform is highly desirable.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide application support for finance, risk, and regulatory reporting solutions.
- Develop, configure, and test Java applications to ensure smooth operation and high performance.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and deliver solutions that meet business needs.
- Perform data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes, ensuring data integrity and accuracy.
- Write and optimize complex SQL queries for data manipulation and reporting purposes.
- Maintain and enhance existing Java applications, ensuring they meet current and future business requirements.
- Develop and execute test plans to validate application functionality and performance.
- Document technical specifications, procedures, and user guides.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in Java development, finance, risk, and regulatory reporting.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- More than 5-8 years of experience in Java development.
- Strong proficiency in Java, ETL processes, and SQL.
- Experience working with finance, risk, and regulatory reporting solutions.
- Familiarity with the Wolters Kluwer OneSumX platform is highly desirable.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver high-quality results.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with other regulatory reporting platforms and solutions.
- Knowledge of additional programming languages and frameworks.
- Experience in financial services or banking industries.
- Certification in Java or related technologies.
