Job Description:
As a Manager, R&D Equipment, you will be responsible for overseeing the selection, procurement, installation, and commissioning of equipment for research and development in the FCBGA substrate production facility. Your role includes managing the lifecycle of equipment, from identifying needs and securing tools to ensuring their proper operation and integration. You will coordinate with vendors, manage budgets, and ensure timely execution of projects. Additionally, you will handle equipment maintenance, upgrades, and troubleshooting, while also ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards. Your responsibilities also extend to managing documentation, training staff, and working closely with other departments to support R&D objectives and maintain operational efficiency.

- Strategy Planning: Define and execute goals and strategies for the Manufacturing team, manage the equipment budget, and develop long-term plans for equipment and facility improvements.
- Equipment Management: Oversee selection, procurement, installation, and commissioning of equipment, ensuring efficient capacity utilization and operational reliability.
- Maintenance and Automation: Manage preventative maintenance, calibration, and plant automation systems.
- Production Line Design: Prepare purchase orders, attend production design meetings, and conduct design reviews.
- Installation and Training: Oversee equipment installation, conduct trial runs, provide training, perform safety audits, and manage change processes.
The successful candidate should possess the following:
- Qualifications: Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience with at least 5 years of post-semiconductor process or design experience.
- Skills: Knowledge of semiconductors and customer needs, experience with CAD/CAM systems, familiarity with measurement, analysis, and reliability tools, and basic understanding of substrate manufacturing.
- Competencies: Meticulous attention to detail, strong understanding of customer needs, proven project management skills, and ability to guide others on company policies and processes.
