Responsibilities:
- Production Management: Supervise and coordinate all activities on the factory floor to meet production schedules and output targets. Monitor production processes to ensure efficiency, minimize downtime, and reduce wastage.
- Team Leadership: Lead and motivate a team of production workers, providing guidance, training, and support. Foster a positive work environment that encourages teamwork, creativity, and continuous improvement.
- Quality Control: Monitor product quality throughout the production process, conducting regular inspections and implementing corrective actions to maintain high-quality standards.
- Safety Compliance: Enforce safety protocols and ensure all employees adhere to safety guidelines and procedures. Identify potential hazards and implement safety measures to prevent accidents and injuries.
- Equipment Maintenance: Coordinate with maintenance personnel to schedule and oversee the regular maintenance and repair of production equipment to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
- Inventory Management: Monitor raw material and finished goods inventory levels. Collaborate with the procurement team to ensure an adequate supply of materials for uninterrupted production.
- Reporting and Documentation: Maintain accurate production records, including output, quality reports, and other relevant documentation. Provide regular reports to management on production performance and efficiency.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency enhancement. Implement best practices and innovative approaches to optimize production procedures.
Requirements:
- Education and Experience: A high school diploma or equivalent is required, while a degree or certification in a relevant field is advantageous. Previous experience in a manufacturing or factory setting, with at least 2-3 years of supervisory experience, is preferred.
- Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead and manage a diverse team effectively. Strong communication skills and the ability to inspire, motivate, and resolve conflicts.
- Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with production processes, machinery, and equipment used in the manufacturing industry. Understanding of quality control standards and safety regulations.
- Organizational Abilities: Excellent time management and organizational skills to handle multiple tasks, prioritize work, and meet production deadlines.
- Problem-Solving: Effective problem-solving and decision-making skills to address production challenges and implement effective solutions.
- Attention to Detail: A keen eye for detail to ensure product quality and adherence to specifications.
- Physical Stamina: The role may involve standing for extended periods and occasional lifting of heavy objects.
