The Public Relations & Marketing Manager is responsible for all aspects of property-level communications and the execution of marketing campaigns. Reporting to the Director of Marketing Communications, this individual promotes on-brand messaging to consumers through traditional, digital, and social media channels to enhance the hotel's image.
Job Responsibilities:
MANAGE BRAND EQUITY
- Analyse market research findings on brand awareness and association o Perform analysis of reputation risk to determine business impact to organisation
- Oversee branding, positioning, local strategy, campaign development and agency management
MANAGE MARKETING COMMUNICATIONS AND PUBLIC RELATIONS
- Act as the liaison between the marketing department and respective departments for tactical campaigns that includes copywriting and proof reading of collaterals
- Manage all media relations activities, events and information, including preparing, maintaining and distributing press releases, press kits, photo library, brochures, newsletters, key personnel biographies, hotel question and answer sheets, etc
- Maintain a comprehensive list of local and regional media contacts, with particular emphasis on editors, food critics, key opinion leaders, and celebrities
- Ensure effective communication and the successful execution of the communications calendar by developing a schedule of press releases, advisories, promotions as well as newsworthy events that will take place in and around the hotel to appropriate media contacts
- Responsible for securing, monitoring and clipping, online, print, and social media features or mentions is completed monthly for property distribution
DEVELOPING MARKETING STRATEGIES
- Execute annual marketing plan aligned to budget in consultation with the Director of Marketing Communications
- Partner with Operations, Food & Beverage and Sales teams to execute promotions and campaigns to target in-house guests with promotions that drive incremental revenue to the hotel
MANAGE MARKETING CAMPAIGNS AND EVENTS
- Manage the execution of sponsored events, community relations, and press promotional activities
- Support and manage the coordination of photography and videography for advertising, collateral and public relations purposes between the hotel, vendors and the corporate team to ensure adherence to brand voice
- Work closely with the Digital Marketing Manager on social media content and campaigns
Talent Profile:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Journalism, Business or Communications
- A minimum 3-5 years of experience in Public Relations & Communications in luxury marketing
- Prior experience in the hospitality industry and/or Public Relations agency
- Experience of developing, creating and managing marketing and promotional campaigns, as well as Public Relations activations
