General Manager, Sales (Automotive)

Our client is a leading and growing automotive group and they are looking for:

GENERAL MANAGER, SALES (AUTOMOTIVE)

This position reports to the Managing Director.

Main Purpose of the Job:

  • Achieve the sales objective declined for new cars of the brand by managing his sales team;
  • Achieve a high level of potential utilization and secure the vehicle dealership revenue;
  • Gain the commitment of special customers to the dealership by means of personalized service and professional support;
  • Stabilize and continuously expand the dealer-customer base.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Defines and implements targets and suitable measures for the Sales department;
  • Defines quantitative and qualitative targets for sales, acquisition and customer care;
  • Foster a collaborative and high-performance culture within the teams;
  • Prepare and present regular sales reports to senior management, highlighting performance against targets, trends, and areas for improvement;
  • Manages and controls sales funnel activities of sales staff via sales systems like Salesforce;
  • Assumes responsibility for and performs continuous monitoring of the sales volume (retail, segment share), tactics, bonus, stock and age structure (daily/monthly report);
  • Manages demo pool (volume, mix, costs, damages, insurance etc.);
  • Controls sales processes in accordance with corporate and legal objectives;
  • Develops and operates hard selling measures (e.g., quarter-end pushes, stock clearance), sales staff incentives and sales events (e.g., product presentations);
  • Observe the market for Sales and initiatives marketing activities;
  • Divides the market observation area into clearly defined salesperson areas;
  • Analyses the sales market potential and market utilization;
  • Actively processes the markets according to the marketing mix; Model, price, communication policy and sales organization (new cars)
  • Plans and implements marketing measures (in collaboration with Marketing Manager, if existing);
  • Plans and implements campaigns and other events at the dealership;
  • Controls sales promotion measures of the company;
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and company policies in sales operations.
  • Other relevant duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:

  • More than 10 years in the automotive industry is required;
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide the sales teams;
  • Proven track record in sales in the automotive industry, with strong negotiation and closing skills;
  • Strong analytical skills to assess market trends, sales performance, and financial data;
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present information clearly and persuasively;
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and properties effectively;
  • Leadership skills with strong business acumen and a solution-oriented mindset to drive positive results;
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment;
  • Good listener, patient in stressful situations and genuine in desire to resolve issues;
  • Strategic thinker with a passion for creativity and innovation, while ensuring focus on detail and execution;
  • Must possess a valid Singapore driving license.
