Main purpose of the role:
To be responsible for the patching and vulnerability management of all Infra environments across data centres.
Key accountabilities and duties:
- To perform patching using the Tools (Bigfix,SCCM,Netbot) or any other tool customer may have with SOP based approach.
- Monitor systems to ensure all patching is completed successfully and track patch management metrics, producing reports on compliance & effectiveness.
- To participate in daily checks on Tools (Bigfix,SCCM,Netbot) and log any issues not already logged by monitoring and alerting.
- To escalate on all major patching and vulnerability issues to L2/L3 teams where appropriate.
- To raise appropriate changes in order for patch implementation and adhere to internal Change Control and ITIL standards.
- To ensure all communications on patch schedule, change planning & approval are done with Apps/Business Owners.
- To carry out any other task associated with the role as reasonably requested.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Education, Technical, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Administration, Business, Science, Technology.
- 5 - 8 years of experience.
- Any technical certification IT Infrastructure landscape. (Windows/Linux/VMWare/Networks/Database/OCP,etc)
- Able to work Shifts that can be part of 24*7 operating model.
- Basic Knowledge on Patch Management, Vulnerability Management, Reporting.
- Some level of experience and understanding of IT Systems, Infrastructure & Security, Patch Management tools.
- Shift work Required including weekends and work as part of team.
- As a member of the extended Global IT patching team, working closely with peers to provide a cohesive and collaborative end-to-end patching function.
- Excellent customer focus and ability to build rapport.
- Highly motivated, driven by the achievement of agreed objectives. Ability to organise and execute team objectives and plans.
- Ability to work with more focus,discipline to ensure there are no human error.
