Key Duties and Responsibilities
As a Legal Counsel, you will handle the corporate, compliance and corporate secretarial matters of the STT GDC group. You will be reporting to the General Counsel and work closely with internal and external stakeholders.
- Provide legal advice and support to STT GDC group’s operational matters, including compliance, regulatory, project development (including construction and equipment procurement), financing, vendor and customer contracts.
- Provide legal advice and support to STT GDC group’s investment activities, including merger & acquisitions and joint ventures matters.
- Assist in corporate secretarial matters of companies within STT GDC group
- Instruct and manage external counsel on a variety of legal matters
- Any other matters as assigned from time to time
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Law, with strong academic credentials
- Strong legal experience in corporate and commercial matters, including project financing and construction/ procurement
- Minimum 12 years of relevant working experience in law firm and/or in-house
- Proactive, adaptable and independent and able to deliver high-quality work in a fast-paced environment
- A team player with the ability to work closely and constructively with colleagues across the regions
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with strong written and verbal communication skills in English
- Solution focused mind-set with integrity and good work ethics
